Official Review Thread for LEGO Twister

Background Info:
This is a short Brickfilm of two LEGO men, or Minifigs, playing the Twister game. It was quite a challenge to animate, as Minifigs have very limited movements. I had to use modeling clay to extent the arms and legs for a few awkward postions.

pretty good film! It must have been pretty hard to put the minifigs in to those positions!

Oh, yes. That was one of the hardest 14 seconds I've animated. Really fun, but hard.

Two words: modeling clay. I had to rip the arms off (and legs for a few frames, I think) and extend them with oil-based Plasticine type clay. It was hard to get the clay to stay put, and the arms fell off several times during animation. It probably would have been a good idea to put some thin wire inside the arms to help keep the positions. It turned out okay, though. I think one of the Minifigs still has his clay arms, I try to find it and post some more detailed pics.

Thanks for the comments! Very Happy

OK, I'll do that next time we come over (don't let me forget! Smile ). Before I can help you get started, though, you need to clear a good sized space on your computer desk (we're going to need to stay hooked up to the computer). I am 99% positive you have a really good camera for brickfilming. K4's getting started, too, so maybe we can all be working on different parts of the 52 Car Pile-Up movie at the same time.

The only problem would be all the different light in the film. Also, my webcam doesn't get superb quality, in fact, it's about the cheapest type you can get! I could use an actual digital camera, but it has to save directly to the computer, and I've only managed to take 984 pics on it before its batteries failed, and I had to pop them in for an overnight recharge. Still...

Er... how's that again? According to the small and deeply boring book called English and You, that sentence has a 5% chance of being correct, let alone be coherent.
